Our story kicked off on January 29, 2021, at a Thai restaurant in St Ives, romantic right? Well, sort of. Brooke, being five years older and absolutely convinced Jarrad wouldn’t be looking for anything serious, decided to test the waters early. Naturally, she dropped the very casual, totally not intimidating line that she expected to be engaged within two years.Her plan? Scare him off.Jarrad’s response? Not even slightly rattled.Little did Brooke know, she hadn’t scared him away she’d just signed herself up to meet a man patient enough to stick around… and cheeky enough to make her wait five whole years for a proposal!
